While the Teal Team is united in their purpose, they are a distributed and asynchronous team, which means their face-to-face time is limited. They found that when they did get a chance to meet, discussions felt rushed and there was never enough time to cover everything they wanted to.
The team only meets 3 times per month, so staying connected between those meetings is vital. The Teal Team has been using Candor for nearly a year to check-in with each other’s moods, recent reads, favorite music, and weekend plans. They also celebrate each other through Candor shoutouts, where they recognize each other for living the team’s values of Community, Collaboration, Coaching, and Curiosity.
Candor helps the team stay in touch in a way that feels authentic to their mission and their way of working. Asynchronous, authentic, and human.
Even though the team is physically apart, Candor lets them connect on a deeper level and connect as humans, not just colleagues.
