‍This Terms of Service agreement (the “Terms”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between you, the user (“you” or “User”), and Candor References, Inc., together with its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Candor References, Inc.", "Candor", "we," or "us"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the website located at www.joincandor.com and related sites and services (collectively, the “Website”), including any content, functionality, and services offered through the Website, and any other products or services provided by Candor (collectively, the “Services”).

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY, AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS. BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND OUR PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS OR THE PRIVACY POLICY, YOU MUST NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals (“Candidates” or “users”) who use the Services to explore job opportunities. It does not apply to hiring entities or companies using the Services to recruit talent. Those parties are governed by separate agreements with Candor. 2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information when you register or use the Services. This includes:
  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Company and job title
  • Profile photo
  • IP address and device information
  • Any other user-submitted content, including resumes, professional data, or content describing you as a candidate
We also automatically collect data about your device and browsing activity through cookies, log files, and third-party analytics tools.‍

3. Use of Personal Information

We use your personal information to:
  • Provide and manage the Services
  • Create and share your candidate profile with Hiring Partners
  • Communicate with you about job opportunities and service updates
  • Improve the Services through analytics and feedback
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect platform integrity
  • Comply with legal obligations
We may also use anonymized or aggregated data for research, internal reporting, or marketing.


4. Sharing of Personal Information

We may share your personal information:
  • With Hiring Partners, to present you for relevant job opportunities
  • With third-party service providers (e.g., analytics, hosting, communications, infrastructure) bound by confidentiality agreements
  • As part of a business transfer (e.g., acquisition or merger)
  • To comply with legal requirements or protect the rights and safety of Candor or others
Candor does not sell your personal information.

5. Fairness and Non-Discrimination

Candor is committed to equitable treatment of candidates. We do not knowingly partner with Hiring Partners that discriminate based on protected characteristics. However, we cannot control Hiring Partner behavior and are not liable for any discriminatory actions taken by them. If you believe you have experienced bias or discrimination in relation to the Services, please contact support@joincandor.com.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may:
  • Access or update your personal information by logging into your account or contacting us
  • Request deletion of your personal information by emailing support@joincandor.com
  • Opt out of promotional communications via the links in our emails
European residents have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of their personal data.

7. Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to servers outside your jurisdiction, including in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to such transfers, including to countries that may not offer the same level of data protection.

8.  Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your data at any time. Upon such request, we will delete your data within two weeks, subject to any legal retention obligations.

We implement security measures to protect your data, including encryption and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for people under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected information about a child, contact us immediately.
